The Chehalem Swim Team will again be hosting a food
booth at the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival from July 24-27. This year we will
be selling water and soda, root beer floats, and strawberry shortcake. In trying to keep the expenses for this event to a minimum, we are asking each family to help out by donating two - 12 pks of soda each. By donating $7-$9 of soda per family, the team saves $308 in expenses related to the event. To make sure we have enough of the right kinds of soda, please bring the soda assigned to your family:
Volunteers are needed each of the 4 days to help out. 2 volunteers are needed for each shift, except Saturday, when 3 volunteers are needed. At least one volunteer each shift needs to be an adult. Please let me know if you have a food handlers permit. Shift times are as follows: Set-up help needed on Thursday starting about Noon. (2 people) Thursday, July 24: 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 25: Noon to 3:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27: Already Covered Tear Down – already covered A sign-up sheet is at the pool on the bulletin board.
